Located in the town of Monticello, Illinois, the Monticello Railway Museum operates weekend tourist trains over a section of track that was once part of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. One of the most notable in the collection is Southern Railway number 401, a 2-8-0 “consolidation steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1907.
