Sep 26, 2024 · Monster Hunter Wilds will likely be made playable on Steam Deck, or potentially good, through the use of mods. Given Monster Hunter’s greater popularity, Capcom could put more effort into optimizing the game for portable PCs.

Apparently it'll run much better overall on launch, so it'll likely run slightly worse than World does currently and I've played about 40-50 hours of World on my oled deck locked at 45 fps. 30 could be expected in Wilds, but VRAM may be the deciding factor.

Oct 9, 2024 · Wilds will be my deck2 launch title if it runs it. That's the downside of the Deck, the hardware is more or less fixed like a console. But almost nobody is willing to use its specs as a minimum baseline and build/optimize accordingly. I don't know about anyone else with a Deck, but I'm not bothered by that.
