You do know Bucks bat around .500 and positive SRS/net without Giannis during his peak years. Holiday/Lopez/Middleton core at their best with or without DDV + Portis = Playoffs even if Giannis never existed.

Jan 2, 2025 · Jokic doesn't have another star either but they're on pace to win 20 fewer games. Yeah I could see SGA winning MVP this year for sure (currently the favourite over Jokic). I thought with an even more loaded roster this year we would see a slight regression in his numbers even with the early injuries but he just keeps trucking along.

Jan 25, 2025 · Jokic is a safer bet but wemby may already be the defensive GOAT so should you pick wemby over him I don’t think it’s completely insane even though I agree knowing what we know about Jokic I would lean towards him as well. But if you tell me wemby will end up with more titles than Jokic I don’t think people would be shocked.

The only time he was in the Finals too he overplayed the "I hate basketball, it's just a job" gimmick. Again, Jokic is great but nobody who doesn't use VORP or RBPM is going out of their way to watch him.

It seems like they are trying to ride the past stars as long as they can. But it's not just the league's fault. It could be boardcasters partners fault too. I don't think they have enough faith with the current and future stars yet.
