Last Saturday, it was announced that the world's best player, Jannik Sinner, had negotiated a settlement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) over offences committed last March, and would be banned for just three months.

Jannik Sinner and the whole doping system's lack of transparency are under fire from across the tennis world after the world number one strikes a deal to accept a three-month ban from WADA.

Eight-time Grand Slam champion Jimmy Connors has candidly weighed in on Jannik Sinner being banned from tennis for failing doping tests. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) announced in August that Sinner was free to play as he bore “no fault or negligence” after testing positive for the anabolic steroid clostebol twice in March.
