Retail giant Walmart bought Monroeville Mall, a spokesman confirmed Tuesday. But no specific plans for the 186-acre site have been released, said Mark Rickel, director of corporate communications for Walmart.

Walmart acquired Monroeville Mall and is interested in its future redevelopment, pointing to potential changes for the site.
