With Levi Onwuzurike out for the season, the interior of the Lions' defensive line has suddenly gone from a bona fide strength to a question mark.

Fans and analysts are pointing to the Lions again as a legitimate Super Bowl contender. ESPN just ranked them as having the third best roster in the entire league. The goal now is to take that next step, not just get into the playoffs, but win consistently come January.

Veteran defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Thursday with an undisclosed injury. On Sunday, Lions head coach Dan Campbell announced that Onwuzurike recently underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL.
