A deal between the Washington Commanders and the D.C. City Council to build a new stadium at the old RFK site is gaining momentum, with a potential final Council vote next week, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the discussions.

The pressure is mounting for DC council to vote on a deal to bring the Commanders back home to the District. “This is what I support, getting the deal done,” said Mayor Muriel Bowser. Bowser acknowledged Wednesday speculation that a vote could come soon.
