The heaviest band of snow, as of Friday, is expected to fall slightly north of a line between Wausau and Green Bay bringing between 4-8 inches, Kaiser said. Areas south of Wisconsin Rapids or north of Rhinelander can expect to see snowfall totals between 3-5 inches.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for all of Massachusetts on Thursday afternoon ahead of a system that could bring at least a half foot of snow to the region this weekend. It's "I'd love to see how your hair would fare in a blizzard" all over again.

Weather Advisory has been issued for multiple counties in the northern, western and central parts of the Lower Peninsula.

Storm Brenda will work through Wisconsin on Saturday with a steady snowfall for much of the day and lingering into Saturday evening before ending.

For those reasons, a WINTER STORM WARNING (pink) and a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY (purple) have been issued for Western Wisconsin through Saturday evening. Make sure to use headlights, slow down, and leave extra following distance when driving through the snow. Snow totals and impacts will be higher in the Winter Storm Warning area.

On Thursday at 2:39 p.m. a winter storm watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Saturday 7 p.m. until Sunday 4 p.m. for Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.
