Since the stake was introduced in 2008, just four contestants have managed to win it, although 13 have had a shot. The most famous name to take home the big prize was Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Melissa Joan Hart on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune in 2021.

A Wheel of Fortune contestant was branded a 'total idiot' by fans after gambling $4,000, a trip and a wild card for a 50/50 chance at winning for $10,000.

It seems as if Wheel of Fortune accidentally gave away the ending to its own show with a mid-episode editing blooper. And the game, which aired Friday, February 7, was poised to be an especially suspenseful one.
