Funeral for Rabbi N.W. Dessler, dean of the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland, is 9 a.m. Monday. The man who led the religious upbringing of three generations died Sunday morning. He was 89.

Rabbi Chanina’s life and miracles are more than mere tales; they teach us a great deal. He taught that a wise person never relies on miracles but at the same time would be foolish to deny them.
