The annual TCS New York City Marathon takes place on Sunday bringing together tens of thousands of runners from around the globe to compete in a 26.2-mile race through the five boroughs.

The TCS New York City Marathon, listed as one of the World Marathon Majors, was initially established in 1970. Since inception, the race has grown substantially each year - applicants and runners.
