Seattle, WA - The Seattle Kraken hosted the Utah Hockey Club on Friday and celebrated its annual Women in Hockey Night at Climate Pledge Arena. The event featured Kraken players arriving in specialty jerseys designed by Mexican-American artist Marisol Ortega.
A language barrier was one of the driving factors for the Kraken in putting together the new young forward line of Matty Beniers, Kaapo Kakko and Jani Nyman.
After one-game absences, both defenceman MacKenzie Weegar and forward Joel Farabee will return to the lineup against the Kraken, Flames head coach Ryan Huska told reporters. Weegar missed Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils with a lower-body injury, while Farabee was out due to an illness.
