Authorities confirmed a person was taken into custody in an investigation tied to internet crimes against children in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood.

SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. – South Miami police surrounded an apartment building Tuesday after “three gunshots” were reported there. According to a police social media post, the shots fired incident happened at 6341 SW 80th St., just east of U.S. 1.

The shooting took place at around 3 a.m. Sunday as the two men were riding the bus in Miami Gardens, according to the city’s police department.

Miami passengers are not allowed to bring bikes on board buses, but must instead use the bike rack on the front of each bus. When the man threatened the driver and reached into his bag, the driver allegedly drew his gun and fired six times, hitting both the man with the bike and another passenger who was not involved in the dispute.

Maka reportedly refused to sit on the curb and tried to flee. When the officer tried putting Maka’s hands behind his back, Budreck stepped in, interfering with his ability to detain Maka. The man resisted, resulting in the officer falling on top of the suspect and getting cut on the arm. He allegedly tried taking his Taser in the process.

Sunny Isles, Florida, police on Friday dispersed a "large, non-permitted spring break gathering" in the vacation destination north of Miami and south of Fort Lauderdale.

A bus driver is accused of shooting and killing two passengers Sunday morning, according to the Miami Gardens Police Department. Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of NW 7th Avenue and 183rd Street.

Two passengers were killed after a Metrobus driver opened fire during a 3 a.m. altercation in Miami Gardens, police said.
