SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WNCN) — A Johnston County man won $100,000 off a ticket while grabbing a bite to eat Monday, lottery officials said. Anthony Dudley of Smithfield purchased the $20 Win Big ticket from Stallion Tobacco and Vape on N.C. 50 in Angier, according to the North Carolina Education Lottery.

A lottery player decided to buy two more tickets in South Carolina after scratching a few non-winners — then his luck changed dramatically. The Charleston man turned a $3 ticket into a $100,000 top prize in the Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword game sold at an Exxon gas station, the South Carolina Education Lottery said Feb. 13.

The man, from Danville, won the prize playing the Kentucky Lottery's Lucky For Life game. He told lottery officials he started playing the game 12 years ago after seeing a commercial for it. The man purchased his ticket from the Five Star on Jan 30, finding out he won the $25,000 for life prize the day after.

According to the Kentucky Lottery, the man (who wishes to remain anonymous), purchased a $10 Lucky For Life ticket for five sets of numbers at the Five Star on Denmark Drive for the Jan. 30 drawing.

Someone will get $1,000 a week for life after buying a lottery ticket in Westmoreland County. The Cash4Life ticket, which is worth either $1,000 a week or $1 million in cash, was sold at the Shop 'n Save on Dailey Avenue in Latrobe.

A winning ticket in the Cash 5 with Quick Cash drawing was sold at the PT Pit Stop convenience store on Route 130.
