Paul’s goal in this letter isn’t to lay out a theology of the Lord’s Supper. It’s to rebuke the church about what taking this meal in vain would do and had already done (1 Cor. 11:29–30).
This evening, as we gather for The Lord's Supper, we believe, we know, that Jesus our Lord is with us. When we come before him, when we come into the church we go down on our knees, we genuflect.
