Basil is a popular herb in many gardens, cherished for its aromatic leaves. However, it attracts Japanese beetles, shiny green and copper-colored insects that feed on a wide range of plants.

After a second full year of treatments, over 800 beetles were trapped. According to CDA, Japanese Beetles are an invasive species that threatens crops and plants on the western slope.
