HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) — Madison Durr scored 19 points and Andrew Ball gave Monmouth the lead with a 3-pointer with 22 seconds remaining as the Hawks knocked off Hofstra 68-62 on Thursday night.

Monmouth's performances have been inconsistent in CAA play, with the Hawks needing to elevate their game down the stretch.

Hofstra aims to stop its five-game slide when the Pride take on Monmouth. The teams square off Thursday for the first time this season.
