Tropical Cyclone Alfred is expected to reach the mainland as a category one system somewhere between Bribie Island and Maroochydore on Saturday morning, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

Alfred is yet to hit the coast and while it is still stalling up near Bribie Island and is expected to move west and cross the mainland coast between Maroochydore and Caboolture later today.

His drone footage shows the damage to Bribie Island after Cyclone Alfred, with waves breaking across what was once trees. Mr Granville has been fishing his whole life off the Caloundra coastline.
