CNET obtained a T-Mobile memo sent to customers about a $5 per line price hike. The increase only affects some people on older plans.

T-Mobile has begun another wave of price hikes, this time hitting customers with legacy plans.

T-Mobile says that if your plan falls under the "Un-contract Promise," which guarantees your rates won't increase, it will pay your final month's recurring service charge if you decide to leave (as long as you let the company know within 60 days).

We knew that a price increase was coming thanks to an early report about T-Mobile's plans to increase pricing sometime this week, but we didn't expect it to be so quick to make these changes. The wireless carrier has now dropped a page on its website that provides all the details, sharing that the increase is coming on April 2, 2025.
