PH has an Aston Martin Vanquish on test at the moment. There’s a full UK verdict to follow, but hopefully it won’t come as too much of a surprise to discover that it’s pretty fabulous; the praise heaped upon the V12 last year was more than justified.

In a totally expected follow-up to the mega Aston Martin Vanquish Coupé, you can now have your 824bhp, 214mph super-GT with an opening roof in the shape of the new Vanquish Volante.

While Aston hasn’t released pricing information, company insiders suggest the Volante will be “in the region of $470,000” — that representing a supplement of around $40,000 over the coupe. Which, by the standards of option pricing in this rarefied part of the market, qualifies as a good deal.
