LEANDER, Texas (AP) — A Texas school bus carrying more than 40 students on Wednesday rolled over after veering off a rural road on the first day of class, injuring multiple students, authorities said.

The Leander ISD school bus was traveling along Nameless Road with 42 students and the driver on board when it left the roadway and rolled over.

The injured were transported to local hospitals via ambulance and helicopter. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and the incident is under investigation.
