Former India captain Sourav Ganguly backed senior India batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to return to form during the ICC tournament. Ganguly also felt that India are not the outright favourites to lift the ICC title.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been the cornerstone of India's success, especially in ODI cricket, over the past decade.

Rohit Sharma will be the sixth player to lead India in a Champions Trophy and only two of the five in the past have actually won the title.

Star India batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are on cusp of major ODI records, both personal and as partners. Currently, they are 129 runs shy of joining the elite list of top five highest partnership runs by a pair in ODIs.

India coach Gautam Gambhir said Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have much to offer the team despite their poor run of form in recent matches, stressing the veteran duo will play a key role in this month's Champions Trophy.
