Clouds are around this morning, but sunshine takes over this afternoon and temperatures will hold in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Rain showers will remain to the south. Saturday will start off dry with temperatures in the middle 60s.
Nearly 4 inches of rain fell in the Chassell area earlier this week, causing flash floods that washed out roads.

Trees and power lines came down in parts of the area. Damage was reported in Bolingbrook, Naperville, and other communities to the west and southwest.
