The Lorain County Coroner's Office has identified the suspect involved in the ambush shooting that left three Lorain police officers wounded on Wednesday. The suspect, Michael Parker, 28, of Lorain, was pronounced dead at the scene after the shooting.
The gunman accused of ambushing three Lorain police officers had previously been cited by the officer killed following a 2022 crash.

Officer Phillip Wagner, a 35-year-old who was hired with the department in 2022, died Thursday surrounded by those he loved at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, according to the department.
