We now expect up to five-hundredths of an inch of freezing rain over almost the southern half of Lower Michigan. This is why the NWS- Grand Rapids and the NWS- Detroit added two rows of counties to the winter weather advisory.

The National Weather Service said Hillsdale, Lenawee and Monroe counties should expect freezing rain and ice accumulations starting Wednesday.

Snow, freezing rain and ice are likely Wednesday in the Lansing area, and driving could become hazardous by Wednesday night, forecasters said.
