Republican lawmakers and the term-limited executive are locked in a bitter standoff over President Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Gov. Ron DeSantis put out his annual budget wish list in advance of the upcoming legislative session. He again highlights education as a priority area for spending. Among his proposals, DeSantis calls for an additional $246 million toward teacher pay,

The highlights include new tax relief, such as a “Second Amendment Summer” tax holiday from Memorial Day to July 4, exempting ammo and firearms.
