Dollar General planning to close nearly 100 locations in early 2025, repurpose concept stores
While some stores are closing, Dollar General said it plans on opening 575 new stores in 2025, with up to 15 new stores opening in Mexico. The company also plans to remodel 2,000 stores and relocate 45 more this year.

(CNN) - Dollar General is planning to close nearly 100 stores across the nation in the first quarter of this year. In addition to closing 96 Dollar General stores, the company will also shutter 45 of its Pop-Shelf stores. The company will also convert six Pop-Shelf stores to Dollar General locations.
