A multi-agency search continued Tuesday for one person missing after six went over the Dillon Falls on Oregon's Deschutes River, resulting in two death and three hospitalizations.
Six people were floating the Deschutes River on Saturday afternoon when they missed a chance to exit the river before its perilous 15-foot drop. Three people were rescued from the river and one person was found dead that day.
The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office will hold a free community shred and drug disposal event on July 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at its Sisters substation, located at 703 N. Larch St. Residents can bring up to four boxes of personal documents to be securely shredded.
