A proposal has been submitted by Mr Donald Holden seeking permission to transform the South Kent Christian Community Church in Cheriton Road, Folkestone, into two residential properties.

But when somewhere gets a reputation like Folkestone is gaining, for someone who grew up in Kent, I think it’s bound to fall a bit flat compared to how someone from outside the county would feel.

Robert Kent was an American film actor. His earliest roles were in film, including the drama "Dimples" (1936) with Shirley Temple Black, "Reunion" (1936) and "King of the Royal Mounted" (1936).
