Weather has been the cause of a couple of postponed games around the league on Tuesday, and now the Reds and White Sox are the latest teams impacted.
The Reds and Nationals scheduled 4:10 p.m. start will be delayed, with the delay likely being short, according to a Reds spokesman. Reds officials then confirmed the game was scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
The delay is complicated by the fact that Saturday's weather forecast looks even worse. To get these games in in any form, the Reds and Nats probably have to wait it out on Friday night.
The Reds were set to welcome the Washington Nationals to town for the start of a three-game set from Great American Ball Park on Friday evening, but the game is already in a delay almost an hour before the scheduled first-pitch time of 6:10 p.m. ET.
A 97-minute delay abbreviated Matthew Liberatore's start and pushed the Cardinals into bullpen choices to preserve arms, not chase, in a 9-1 loss to Cincinnati.
