X-Men actor Alan Cumming has fun celebrating his return to Marvel, as his Nightcrawler will be in Avengers: Doomsday.

It’s unclear just how big a role the X-Men will play in the film, given Marvel still hasn’t properly integrated the mutant team into the cinematic universe yet, but even the actors that have been announced make it sound like the group itself will play a big role in whatever’s going on in the 2026 movie.

Alan Cumming will seemingly have no trouble slipping back into character as Nightcrawler for Avengers: Doomsday. Following Marvel Studios‘ five-plus hour Doomsday cast live stream reveal, Cumming confirmed his return as the teleporting mutant Nightcrawler with a humorous post on Instagram.
