NFL .com draft analyst Adam Rank released his mock draft on Tuesday. He only does one version and does not update it as we get closer to the NFL Draft. He has issued a pick for the New York Giants that no one could have seen coming.

Boise State running back and Heisman finalist Ashton Jeanty wrote an open letter to NFL general managers published in the Players' Tribune on Wednesday. Jeanty led that letter with a bold proclamation, noting that he can have the same impact for a team as running back Saquon Barkley just did for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

In this scenario, the Titans take Miami quarterback Cam Ward, and the Browns select Penn State edge defender Abdul Carter. This leaves Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter still on the board. In most mocks, Hunter would be the pick. But the idea of Jeanty to the Giants is very intriguing.
