It doesn’t sound like things are getting any easier for Antoine Fuqua’s Michael Jackson biopic. In January, it was reported that the film was having major issues with its third act—centered around allegations of Jackson’s child abuse and the subsequent media circus—which would lead to reshoots in March.

Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, “Michael,” may be split into two movies. As a result, the Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International project will likely push its current Oct. 3 release date.

Producer Graham King is mulling a new reality for the project, but the idea is in early stages and would require sign-off from multiple partners, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
