Parts of Connecticut are expected to see two to four inches of snow, and higher elevation areas in the state may get up to five inches. "Snow is expected to cover the area," Wunsch said.

An overnight storm brought snow to Connecticut Wednesday morning, causing some school delays ahead of a wintry mix expected for Thursday morning.

On Thursday, the weather service says, the chance of precipitation is 100 percent, with the likelihood of it becoming all rain after noon and a high near 39. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch is possible. Snow is also forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

The forecast discussion said that there is to be around an inch of snow across coastal Connecticut and less than an inch for the landlocked portion of southern Connecticut. Norwich is expected to recieve less than an inch of snow.
