Sony Pictures Classics has acquired the North and Latin American rights to Rebecca Zlotowski's French murder mystery film "Vie Privée," TheWrap has learned. The project stars Jodie Foster as a renowned psychiatrist who investigates the suspicious death of one of her patients.

Ad Vitam pre-acquired French rights for the movie, produced by Frédéric Jouve at Les Films Velvet in co-production with France 3 Cinéma. Foster stars in the film as renowned psychiatrist Lilian Steiner who mounts a private investigation into the death of one of her patients, whom she is convinced has been murdered.
