The Boston Celtics are trying to tap into the dominant energy that fueled their deep playoff run last season, but despite a 122-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks, the team’s overall performance this year has been inconsistent.

There have been some cryptic comments in postgame exchanges with the media that hint that the Georgia native might not be all that pleased.

The Boston Celtics have lost 11 of their last 26 games. They've also dropped eight of those games coming off the back of a win. Jaylen Brown has been among the biggest targets for criticism during that stretch.

“I’ve had to adjust, it’s a different year,” Brown told NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin following the win. “I just do what the team needs me to do. I’ve been able to evolve through different things in my career. This team, I’m more of a playmaker, so I just embrace it and get better in that role and do what I do.”
