The Idaho City backcountry yurt system is back to full capacity with the addition of a new sixth yurt, the Hennessy Yurt. It replaces the Whispering Pines yurt that was lost in the Pioneer Fire.
The Idaho City yurts bring in about $73,000 per year for the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. In 2014, the agency expects that number to increase by $10,000.
