The Los Angeles Lakers are back to square one on finding a long-term big man to play with superstar guard Luka Dončić. The Lakers shared on Saturday evening that the team’s deadline trade from Thursday with the Charlotte Hornets for center Mark Williams had been rescinded.

As Knecht returns to the Lakers' roster, Los Angeles announced that he will be unavailable for the matchup against the Jazz due to personal reasons, per Underdog NBA . Knecht was originally selected by the Lakers with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2024 draft.
