Seven planets currently form a rare "planet parade" in February's evening sky, with three easy to see with the naked eye, and two more possible. It will return in 2036.
"Next will be the brightest thing in the sky outside of the moon," he said. "The planet Venus. It'll be that bright, starlike thing people see in the west after sunset. Easy-peasy to see." ...
It won't appear this bright from Earth ... into the glare of sunset, reappearing in the morning sky come April. Venus goes through phases, which can be seen with a simple telescope.
