Brandon Ingram was among the biggest names to be traded at the NBA trade deadline. Because his contract is set to expire, it was imperative that his new team, the Toronto Raptors, extend him as soon as possible.

The Toronto Raptors are coming off a strong victory against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night. They did so without their star newcomer in Brandon Ingram, who’s yet to make his debut since arriving to the Raptors in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Brandon Ingram has a $120 million extension from the Raptors before ever playing a game for Toronto. The recently acquired forward agreed to the deal Tuesday, less than a week after the Raptors got him from the New Orleans Pelicans.
