When you’re looking at seeds, check the days to maturity (how quickly the plant will make pumpkins), the overall spread and, where available, how many fruits are likely to appear from one plant.

Plant pumpkin seeds up to 1" deep in soil, with the pointed end facing downwards. Up to three seeds can be planted together, but make sure you have about 5 feet between clusters.
