LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cooper Kupp was a driving force when the Los Angeles Rams won the Super Bowl to cap the 2021 season, culminating with his winning touchdown catch.

After being eliminated from the NFL playoffs by the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp spoke about his future with the franchise.

Hours later, Kupp trudged through the snow-covered field with his teammates, retreating to the stadium’s visiting locker room in the wake of the Rams’ 28-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs. The Rams’ season was over.

“Nothing close to things that are happening in the real world,” Kupp said, “but it is an opportunity for us to draw closer together and say ‘let’s be able to respond from a little bit of hardship here and go out there and do something special.’”

One of the supporters who traveled to Arizona was Anna Kupp, who is the wife of Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp. She witnessed LA's defense make history against the Vikings by tying an NFL playoff record of nine sacks in the game. Anna Kupp used three words to describe the team's historic feat.

The McVay and Whitworth families donated $400,000 to two organizations, the LAFD Foundation and the Pasadena Community Foundation. Inspired by this, Cooper Kupp pledged to match up to $500,000 for each organization to raise an additional $1M in relief funding.
