A Nigerian-based conspiracy to extort money from a Marquette teen resulted in a guilty plea on money laundering.

Dinsimore Guyton Robinson, 29, of Huntsville, Alabama, is one of five U.S.-based defendants charged in the case and the first to enter a guilty plea.

This year’s event was called “Legends and Lore 2--Even More Legendary.” It’s one in a series of fundraisers for the history center. The money collected supports the center in paying for necessary resources and programs.
