Brittney Griner plans to sign with the Atlanta Dream, a person familiar with the agreement told The Associated Press on Tuesday night. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no announcement had been made.
The 10-time All-Star announced via Instagram Tuesday night that she would be joining the Atlanta Dream in free agency this offseason. Griner had spent her entire 11-year career with the Phoenix Mercury after being drafted by them No. 1 overall in 2013. Now she will be joining the Dream on a one-year deal.
