U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration has announced steep reciprocal tariffs on key smartphone manufacturing countries, including Vietnam and China, where Samsung Electronics and Apple produce most of their devices.

Apple is finding itself in the crosshairs of Trump’s new tariffs, even after a yearslong effort to insulate itself from trade wars and supply chain disruptions.

Lenovo said on Thursday it and Ericsson had reached an agreement on a global patent cross-licence and to settle all pending litigation, ending a worldwide legal battle.
