Apple is suspending an error-prone feature that used artificial intelligence to deliver bogus news alerts to some iPhone owners.

Google, Microsoft, Meta and now Apple have been tripping over themselves in a frenzy to launch AI-driven products that show they're at the vanguard. The latter's suspension of its disastrous AI notification summaries are the latest example of a botched headline feature.

Samsung launched the S25 series which comes in three variants — the S25, S25+ and the S25 Ultra. The S25 starts at $799, the S25+ starts at $999 and the S25 Ultra starts at $1,299. Samsung touted improved artificial intelligence features as it looks to stay competitive against Apple and increasingly-competitive Chinese players.

iOS 18.3 will bring a number of changes including new Camera Control features, bug fixes and importantly, AI changes including temporarily removing an Apple Intelligence feature.

Apple is yet to capitalize on Apple Intelligence. Some said the AI push would cause a "golden upgrade cycle" for iPhones.
