Police say the child, Claire Bell, was reported missing Sunday afternoon in Coteau-du-Lac, Que., about 50 kilometres west of where she was last seen in Montreal's LaSalle borough.

Rachel-Ella Todd, 34, has been charged with one count of unlawful abandonment of a child after her daughter, Claire Bell, was reported missing Sunday.

"Claire Bell, 3, of LaSalle, was located alive today around 3:00 p.m. near Highway 417 in Ontario by our colleagues from the Ontario Provincial Police,” authorities wrote in French.
