Firefighters continue to battle multiple blazes in Southern California while President Trump is set to visit Los Angeles to tour wildfire damage.

The blazes - named Laguna, Sepulveda, Gibbel, Gilman and Border 2 - flared up on Thursday in Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura and Riverside.

Border 2 Fire initially started 2:31 p.m. Jan. 23 in San Diego County. After being active for 20 hours, it has burned 5,389.4 acres, an increase of 1,139 acres since the last update. A fire crew of 692 effectively contained 10% of the fire by Friday noon. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.

Authorities issued evacuation orders and warnings to nearby areas early Friday morning as a wildfire in the Otay Wilderness Area exploded to 4,250 acres in rugged terrain overnight. Crews were able to get 10% of it contained.

The fire that broke out near the U.S.-Mexico border was 10% contained as of Friday morning. It was one of several wildfires that started Thursday.

South course at Torrey Pines in San Diego with an emphasis on relief initiatives for victims of the fires. That gives Torrey Pines two tournaments in a span of four weeks. The tour said the $20 million signature event hosted by Tiger Woods would return to Riviera Country Club next year.
