Vodafone Idea announced its Q3 results on Tuesday and the market hasn't reacted well to it. Traders believe that the numbers were below the market expectations and with no clarity over near future, uncertainties over the company's operation and growth fundamentals is concerning the investors.

Debt raise has been facing some delays as banks are seeking clarity on the resolution of AGR dues by the government, Nomura India reported Vodafone Idea as saying.

Telecom firm Vodafone Idea Ltd on February 11 reported its net loss narrowed marginally to Rs 6,609 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2024 as against Rs 6,986-crore net loss in the year-ago period. The telco's revenue from operations rose 4% to Rs 11,117 crore in Q3FY25 as against Rs 10,673 crore in Q3FY24.

Results: Telecom major Vodafone Idea on Tuesday narrowed its December quarter consolidated net losses to Rs 6,609 crore versus Rs 6,986 crore reported in the year ago period.

MOFSL anticipated Vodafone Idea's Q3 loss at Rs 7,053 crore. It sees sales for telecom operator rising 5.7 per cent to Rs 11,283 crore.

Vodafone Idea is estimated to see its revenue rising in the third quarter of FY25 led by an uptick in ARPU and the residual impact of tariff hike. Analysts also expect Vodafone Idea’s Q3FY25 net loss to shrink on a sequential basis.

Vodafone Idea's average revenue per user (ARPU) meanwhile rose 4.7 percent quarter-on-quarter to Rs 173 in Q3. This was driven by tariff hikes and customers upgrading to higher plans.

Vodafone Idea's losses narrowed in Q3, while revenue and EBITDA improved sequentially. ARPU rose to ₹173, and margins expanded, reflecting operational gains.

On Tuesday, 338 companies, including Vodafone Idea, SAIL, IRCTC, Tata Investment, and Zee Media, will announce their third-quarter results. Vodafone Idea is expected to narrow its losses due to tariff hikes and ARPU increase.

Voda Idea Q3: "Customer ARPU (ex M2M) improved to Rs 173 vs Rs 166 in Q2 FY25, up 4.7 per cent on QoQ basis, driven by tariff hike and customer upgrades," the telco stated.
