KNOXVILLE ― After the final out of Vanderbilt baseball's 7-5 win against Tennessee, which clinched the rivalry series for the first time since 2021, the two teams had to be separated on the field after the benches cleared and several players appeared to exchange words.

Vanderbilt would send 8 batters to the plate in the frame, with Tennessee also committing 2 errors to keep things rolling along. The Commodores finished with 4 runs scored to pace the way to a 10-6 win to even the series at 1 game apiece.
